A 2023 review of 26 randomised trials found hydrolysed collagen supplements improved skin hydration and elasticity compared with placebo. The authors noted biases in the trials and called for larger studies.
reviewed for biotin and hair or nails
A 2017 review found only 18 reported cases of biotin helping hair or nails, and in every case the person had an underlying cause. The authors found there isn't enough evidence for biotin supplements in healthy people.
